Even though the planet is warming, the amount of sunlight reaching the Earth's surface is decreasing. What is causing this, and what effect does it have?
- Global dimming is the reduction in sunlight reaching the Earth's surface.
- The Sun's intensity is the same, but we have altered the planet's atmosphere.
- Air pollution causes global dimming.
- Global dimming has a cooling effect and slows down global warming.

The global temperature is rising, but sunlight is decreasing.
Since the 1950s, the amount of solar energy reaching the Earth's surface has dropped.
